Rose O'Neill Mural in Downtown Branson

1. The Rose O’Neill Mural on Commercial

Tucked away on the south side of the Centennial Museum (corner of Commercial and Pacific streets), you’ll find Downtown Branson’s newest mural. This vibrant piece pays tribute to Rose O’Neill, the famed Ozarkian artist and creator of the Kewpie doll. Painted in 2024 by local artist Christine Riutzel and O’Neill superfan Delanie Johnson, the mural is a true labor of love—it took over a year to get approvals and raise funds. Don’t miss this colorful slice of Branson history!

2. The Abandoned Caboose at Table Rock Asphalt

Train buffs, this one’s for you. Missouri Pacific Caboose #13502 has been parked at Table Rock Asphalt since 2003. While it hasn’t seen service in more than 30 years, this old caboose stands as a quirky reminder of Branson’s railroad past and the days when practically every train was punctuated with a car like this. Snap a photo, pretend to be a brakeman, imagine the journeys it’s seen, and appreciate a piece of local nostalgia.

3. North Beach Park

Looking for a peaceful escape? North Beach Park sits right next to the north Branson Landing parking lot—yet it feels a world away. With a paved walkway, picnic tables, and fishing docks, it’s perfect for bird watching, casting a line, or just unwinding with a quiet stroll. It’s a favorite spot for families and anyone who loves a bit of nature in the city.

Stop #1 is inside the Lakeside RV Park and provides easy access to the south end of Branson Landing’s parking lot, which is home to the Branson Farmers’ Market and other events.

4. The Lake Taneycomo Walkway

On the south side of Branson Landing’s parking lot, you’ll find a scenic paved path that runs alongside Lake Taneycomo for more than half a mile. The walkway continues under the bridges and into Lakeside RV Park, making it a great route for biking, jogging, or walking your dog. It’s one of the best ways to enjoy the lake views without the crowds.

5. Liberty Plaza

Most people just drive past Liberty Plaza or use it for parking—but it’s so much more than that. As the city’s newest park, Liberty Plaza is the perfect spot for a picnic, a quick break from shopping, or just to recharge. It’s a great place to park the car and board Sparky at the enclosed trolley stop! Bonus: the restrooms are clean and convenient, making it a hidden hero for families on the go.

Next time you hop on the RideSparky trolley, keep an eye out for these special spots—they’re proof that Downtown Branson has plenty of surprises waiting just around the corner.
