The Branson Parks & Recreation department oversees 16 parks spread throughout the City of Branson, with several great facilities waiting to be discovered in Downtown Branson. Here are a few of our favorite spots in downtown to curl up on a bench and read a great book:
North Beach Park
North Beach Park is a scenic park located on the banks of Take Taneycomo. next to the Branson Landing (parking in Belk parking lot). The park features a paved walking path along the lake that connects to the Branson Landing boardwalk making up 3/4 mile distance. Other park features include two fishing docks, picnic tables, barbecue grills and horseshoe pits. Whether nestling up against an old-growth oak tree or spreading out on a park bench, this is a favorite spot!
Epps Park
This is the smallest of Branson’s 16 city parks, just less than 1 acre. But this tiny park at the intersection of Price and Long streets is custom made for a quiet afternoon of relaxing and reading. There’s even a covered park bench to keep you out of direct sunlight.
John Nygard Memorial Park
This small park at 5th Street and Long Street in downtown is an often-forgotten gem. Quiet and located in a neighborhood, this spot is perfect for whiling away an afternoon with a good book.
Alexander Park
Alexander Park is a great park to take the whole family. Located near Lake Taneycomo off Hawthorn Street, While you’re diving into your book, the rest of the family can take advantage of the two youth ball fields, a tennis court, a playground and a pavilion with picnic tables. Youth baseball, softball, and soccer games are frequently played at this park.
Eiserman Park
Eiserman Park is located next to the Branson Community Center near the intersection of U.S. Highway 65 and Branson Landing Boulevard. The quiet park features a pavilion, swing area and outdoor basketball court. A disc golf course is also featured in the park. Restrooms are available during the hours of operation at the Community Center.
Sunset Park
Sunset Park sits along Lake Taneycomo near Alexander Park and features a lighted 6/10 mile paved walking path. A disc golf course can be found in the interior of the park.
