Spring Break Family Fun in Downtown Branson

Spring is here and so are Spring Breakers! Welcome to Branson and to Spring Break 2024! Here’s some of the fun things in Downtown Branson that should be vying for a spot on each family’s must-do list.

Family Fun Attractions

If you’re looking for fun things to do with the entire family, Downtown Branson is a great place to start!

At Branson Landing, you’ll find great attractions like Andy B’s Bowl Social, Arcade City, Branson Jet Boats, Parakeet Pete’s Steampunk Balloon, The Mirror Maize and Meta Golf.

Historic Downtown also has other great family activities, like parks and live performances.

The Region’s Best Dining

Whether you’re dining on a patio overlooking the Branson Landing fountains or enjoying a home-cooked meal at one of Branson’s traditional diners, you’ll discover that Downtown Branson is home to some of the region’s most diverse and most-loved eateries.

In Historic Downtown, you’ll find all-American diners like the Farmhouse Restaurant, the Branson Cafe and Clockers Cafe, all within one block of each other on Main and Commercial Streets. Mr. G’s Chicago Pizza & Pub is another favorite spot for families, and MoMo Sushi & Grill is popular for Asian gourmet food. The Hilton Convention Center Hotel is home to Level 2 Steakhouse and Clear Lounge.

Branson Landing has more than 15 amazing places to eat, including Saltgrass Steakhouse, White River Fish House, Paula Deen’s Family Kitchen, Jimmy Buffet’s Landshark Bar & Grill, Mellow Mushroom pizza, Joe’s Crab Shack, Cantina Laredo gourmet Mexican food and Guy Fieri’s Kitchen + Bar.

Sweet Treats

A family trip to downtown should also include a visit to at least one (but more is better!) of the district’s amazing sweet spots.

Among these are Main Street Pops, conveniently located on, well, Main Street. Mr. B’s Ice Cream Parlor on Veterans’ Boulevard is a downtown tradition for many families. Boba Joe’s Bubble Tea and Ice Cream shop is a unique experience on Commercial Street.

At Branson Landing, you’ll find more amazing sweets like Kilwins Ice Cream and sweet shop and Cold Stone Creamery gourmet ice cream. Or you can skip the traditional cone at Crepes ‘N Cream.

Don’t forget the yummy (and convenient) sweets you can also find a downtown’s chain restaurants, like Steak N Shake and Chick-Fil-A.

Shopping

More than 100 retailers are in Downtown Branson, waiting to be discovered. You’ll find everything from large department stores to outdoor outfitters to specialty retailers. There’s everything from flea markets to bug repellant. Downtown Branson is also home to one of America’s last (and best) five-and-dime stores.

Downtown’s Lake Taneycomo

Whether you’re walking along the Branson Landing Boardwalk, enjoying North Shore Park or experiencing the Branson Landing fountains from a kayak, there’s so much to discover along Lake Taneycomo.

Scotty’s Trout Dock offers kayak rentals by the hour, half-day or full-day. Get out on the water for a fun family activity, or maybe for a little relaxation or fishing (Lake Taneycomo is one of the United States’ best trout streams).

Take a Free Trolley Ride

A visit to Historic Downtown Branson is not complete without riding the free Sparky trolleys, which run throughout downtown. You can hop on and hop off at any of 12 convenient stops that serve all the major spots. The trolleys run each day from 9 a.m. until 6 p.m.
