Fall is finally here, and the crisp cool days make for the perfect time to get outdoors and enjoy the beautiful foliage and sights in Downtown Branson!

Whether taking in the vibrant red, yellow and brown of the hills reflected on picturesque Lake Taneycomo, going for a stroll or just relaxing on a park bench with a book, it’s easy to see why this season is a favorite with many Branson visitors.

Here are some fun fall-themed activities you can enjoy without ever leaving the downtown area.

Walk along the Branson Landing Boardwalk

This level, paved walkway is more than 1-mile long and features many scenic spots along the Taneycomo lakefront. You’ll see plenty of ducks, geese along the way, as well as great views of the colorful hills across the lake. The boardwalk also connects with North Beach Park, which is home to some of the oldest and most beautiful trees in the Ozarks.

Local Wildlife

Tons of geese and ducks live along Lake Taneycomo! Grab some bird seed and corn and come enjoy the funny feathered friends of Downtown. It’s a great activity for the kids too!

Zip across Lake Taneycomo

One of the best ways to see the foliage and sights from a bird’s-eye view (literally) is to zipline from Branson Landing to the top of Mount Branson on the Parakeet Pete’s Waterfront Zipline. Take a wild ride before it gets too cold!

Stroll the historic downtown streets

Park the car and take a casual stroll through Historic Downtown’s streets. You’ll see lots of foliage and also get to enjoy our recently completed brick-paver sidewalks and numerous sitting areas. If you’re feeling particularly adventurous, there is a Downtown Walking Tour, a great way to experience the history and architecture of Downtown. Grab a cup of coffee from one of the many local treat shops and take a stroll!

Outdoor Dining

A number of downtown restaurants offer patio or outside dining, especially the eateries along Lake Taneycomo. Ask your host or hostess if you can be seated outside and get ready to enjoy the experience!

Honor our veterans at the annual parade

Every year at 11 a.m. on Nov. 11, Downtown Branson hosts one of the region’s longest-running Veterans Day parades. The parade is the culmination of the week-long Veterans Week in Branson that draws thousands of vets to town each year. Nov. 11 is typically one of the final days of Branson’s fall foliage, and the parade is a moving experience that shouldn’t be missed.

Ride the Free Trolley

Another great way to experience all of downtown (as well as easily get from Point A to Point B) is to ride the free Sparky trolley system! Get more information at RideSparky.com

These are just a few of the great things you can do this fall in Downtown Branson. Whichever experience you choose, be sure to keep your camera nearby as you explore Downtown Branson in fall!
