Here is a list of the best parks in Downtown Branson … all conveniently located within walking distance of Sparky stops. Each one features something unique, that sets it apart from the other. Fountains, bathrooms, disc golf, outdoor stages; the only thing missing is the ice cream cart. But we’ve got that covered in Downtown also!
North Beach Park, 401 Eastlake St.
Located about 200 yards from Trolley Stop #7
A total of 4.2 acres featuring walking paths, horseshoe pits, lake access, two fishing docks, picnic tables, and BBQ grills.
Epps Park, 201 Long St.
Located across Veterans Blvd from Trolley Stop #4
Only 0.1 acre, this is the city’s smallest park, but it’s still beautiful and perfect for a solo or couple trip. This tiny gem features a covered seating area.
John Nygard Memorial Park, 500 S 5th St.
At the corner of 5th and Long Streets; about 5 minute walk from Trolley Stop #4
This 1.3 acre park is the namesake of the former Alderman John Nygard. Great for the kids, it has a wonderful playground and has been recently updated with more trees, a new fence, and plenty of benches. Great for the whole family.

Use Trolley Stop #13
The most recently updated and newest addition to downtown, it is definitely one you’ll want to see. A convenient Sparky Trolley stop at the park to whisk you there when you’re done strolling the Branson Landing and a featured water fountain and covered performance stage make this downtown spot a great one. It also features new air-conditioned bathrooms. And did we mention the covered trolley stop at the plaza?
Alexander Park, 901 Hawthorn St.
About 1/4 mile walk from Trolley Stop #1
6.9 acre definitely makes this lakeside park one of the larger ones in the downtown area. Complete with walking paths, large playground area, tennis court, basketball court, baseball diamond, horseshoe pits, bathrooms and fishing docks.
Sunset Park, 869 Sunset Lane
About 1/2 mile from Trolley Stop #1
A total of 21.1 acres definitely makes this one the largest in the Branson area. A complete disc golf course may just be the reason behind the size of this park but it also has extensive walking paths and benches.
Parnell Park, 257 Mayden Ln.
About 1/2 mile north of Trolley Stop #7
The last on the list, only 1.6 acres, features a basketball court, tennis court, playground and picnic tables. The location in a residential area makes this park one of the best, it is often described as quiet and peaceful.
