What’s New in Downtown Branson in 2018

The beginning of 2018 was an exciting time for the city of Branson. The new year came with a mention in the New York Times where Branson landed at No. 21 on the “52 Places to Go in 2018” worldwide list, among destinations such as New Orleans, Columbia and Bhutan. The city, as a whole, was cited for Silver Dollar City’s new coaster “Time Traveler” and it’s many amazing shows, including The Haygoods.

There is so much more to mention though and most of it happens in downtown Branson. Liberty Plaza was finished last summer and it features a waterfall, rock walls and benches, heated and air conditioned bathrooms and a covered trolley stop while you wait for Sparky!

The renovation of the intersection of Main and Commercial Streets has been finished, complete with new paver sidewalks and street path. The Historic Owen Theatre is now home to the Branson Arts Council and there is an amazing lineup of events and live performances in 2018, Annie the Musical being one of the first.

Dino’s Cake & Coffee Cafe features Dino Kartsonakis’ world-famous Karrot Cake!

Dino’s Cake & Coffee Company is open as well. Located at 104 E Main, the locally owned shop features sweets and coffee in a relaxed ambiance. A couple other sweet treat shops are worthy of a visit as well! Dreamsicles features gourmet house-made gelato, sorbet and ice cream with the convenience of a popsicle! Pick a flavor and get it dipped in your choice of toppings! Stop in and say hello to the friendly staff at 110 E Main Street. Juicy Smoothie is also downtown and you can’t beat their smoothies.

There are many cool additions to find on The Landing as well. iGolf Branson made its debut recently and features an indoor simulator that lets you tee off on 30 amazing courses, including Pinehurst, Bethpage Black, Torrey Pines and Troon North.

And let’s not forget how awesome Andy B’s Bowling is! The new bowling alley is set to open at Branson Landing in Summer 2018.

But we may have saved the funnest for last; Arcade City. Featuring a huge mirror maze, hundreds of new and classic arcade games like skeeball, Connect 4, and a variety of Pac Man-themed games. There are claw games that feature designer wallets by Coach and Michael Kors as well. What seems to be gaining the biggest following however is the 7D Dark Ride Adventure, with 3 different interactive scenarios to choose from. You’ll be fully immersed in the adventure of your choice, so be ready!

There truly never has been a better time to visit Downtown Branson! And ride Sparky to discover it all!
