July 4th Fireworks Light up Branson Sky

If you and your family enjoy fireworks, the Branson area is THE place to be in the days leading up to July 4th.

Branson Landing’s 10th Annual Liberty Light Up is Monday, July 3, 2017. The popular event starts with a free concert by Jason Pritchett in the town square followed by a fireworks display over Lake Taneycomo. The fireworks show is also visible from most spots along Main Street.

For a unique view of the downtown fireworks, the SKY Deck at Parakeet Pete’s Waterfront Zipline is holding it’s 2nd annual “Fire in the SKY” event beginning at 7:30 p.m. on July 3rd. This bird’s eye view of the fireworks includes BBQ by Famous Dave’s, a cash bar and live entertainment by Makenna & Brock. Tickets are $75 per person and the event requires advance reservations. Another unique way to experience the downtown fireworks show is from the lake while aboard the Main Street Lake Cruises’ Branson Landing Princess yacht. This air-conditioned cruise departs at 8:15 p.m. and a cash bar is available. Tickets are $55.17 per person and advance purchase is recommended. Top of the Rock Fireworks

More Branson-Area Fireworks Displays

Starting June 23, there are no fewer than 8 fireworks shows in the Branson and Lakes Area that you can experience depending on the dates you’ll be visiting.

From 7 – 10:30 p.m. on June 23, the Branson Ferris Wheel is celebrating it’s 1-year anniversary with the debut of the new “Electrify” Music and Light Spectacular, followed by fireworks.

Sunday, June 26, is the annual College of the Ozarks Honor America celebration. The event features a parachute demonstration by the U.S. Army’s Golden Knights and starts at 5:30 p.m. with an old-fashioned barbecue, children’s activities and live entertainment. At 8:30 p.m. begins the patriotic program, including the presentation of the colors by the Branson chapter of the Vietnam Veterans of America, music by the C of O Concert Band, and a fireworks display.

On Saturday, July 1, is the 2017 Kimberling City Fireburst Celebration, presented over the recently renovated Kimberling City Bridge over Table Rock Lake. The display is visible from the water and from most condos and resorts around Kimberling City.

Sunday, July 2, is the annual Fourth of July Celebration at Chateau on the Lake on the west side of Branson, overlooking Table Rock Lake. This fireworks show begins at dusk and is visible from many areas around the Table Rock Dam area.

Then on Tuesday, July 4th, the annual Independence Day Fireworks are taking place at Top of the Rock, south of Branson near Ridgedale. This show begins at dusk.

Also on Tuesday, July 4th is the 64th Annual Hollister Fireworks Celebration, presented over Downing Street and Chad A. Fuqua Memorial Park in downtown Hollister. The event begins at 6 p.m. with the Little Miss Firecracker Pageant and also includes live entertainment. The hand-lit fireworks show begins at 9:15 p.m.

Rockin’ the 4th at Rockaway Beach

Just 10 minutes from Branson is Rockaway Beach, also located on the shores of Lake Taneycomo. The town is hosting a four-day “old time celebration” leading up to Independence Day.

The event begins Saturday, July 1 with a car and bike show at the community center. On Sunday, there’s the BBQ, Blues and More Celebration at the Bridge of Faith Church. On Monday, there’s a movie in the park beginning at 9 p.m. and afterwards a “mini” fireworks display.

Tuesday, July 4th sees the Rockaway Beach festivities conclude with an afternoon and evening full of activities, including food, crafts, a lawnmower parade, a Little Mr. and Miss Rockaway Pageant, an arm-wrestling contest and more. The event ends with a laser display and fireworks at dusk.

Free Downtown Branson Trolley

Throughout the holiday weekend and the rest of the summer, the free “Sparky” trolleys are running throughout downtown daily from 9 a.m. until 6 p.m. The air-conditioned trolleys are a great way to experience downtown, and also to travel between the 13 convenient stops.
